Welcome to Durham Business Spotlight! Over the last few years has been very challenging to say the least. With no intentions of creating a website to help Durham’s small businesses, I somehow managed to enable a community that supports one another—whether that means supporting behind the scenes through programs like Durham Business Spotlight or being the consumer who shops at our local businesses. This is a great example of how our Durham resisdents has come together during COVID-19 to ensure our local business community stays Durham Strong!

About Durham Business Spotlight
Sometimes it takes just a little imagination and empathy to transform a business into something more.
This is what Tanya Gordon, has done and now evolving the real estate sector in Durham Region, Ontario. Evolving a seemingly ordinary sector such as real estate, into something deeper was no mean feat.

Tanya began her career in real estate in January 2010 and started her Real Estate Coaching business in 2020.
​
Being a Real Estate Agent, Internationally Certified Coach and Mentor means the relationship that develops between the people and myself is very different, the whole process is different and fortunately both are very effective. It is also interest at the human level. I always learn something from each person.
​
So Tanya had the idea to combine the skills of a Certified Master Practitioner of NLP (neurological processes (neuro-), language (linguistic) and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming) with the expertise of a real estate agent: a professional figure that considers closely the needs and goals of their client and helps them to integrate them into the community life in Durham Region.

Not only is the negoiation skill level higher, It is about listening, taking my time, and working out the reasons why you want to move here. I have to go back to the basics and consider why and what you want to change in your life, only starting from that point can you clearly see the opportunities each properly brings and really consider what is being offered.
